About the Author…

Butch Syyap has many roles – but the role he finds himself in most of the time is that of a Father to two teens (Bryce and Bernice), and a Husband (to Barbie). Professionally, he is a trainer/facilitator, helping many people learn and improve on a myriad of people-skills or technical topics.

When not busy with family or work, he finds reading a worthy hobby, leaning towards Science Fiction, Fantasy or Adventure stories. He likewise collects comic books. He likes writing and finds it a relaxing endeavor. In this regard, he has contributed to some organizational newsletters, written fan fiction and even came up with at least two character analysis for certain fictional comic book personalities.

Aside from reading and writing, he also maintains two tropical fish aquariums, preferring smaller community type set-ups. He dreams of one day creating and maintaining an Amano-type aquarium.

Butch is also trying his hand (and eye) on digital photography – and though his camera is just a typical point-and-shoot model, he hopes to graduate to a more professional camera very soon. Do not be surprised to see his pictures – at least, those he deems share-worthy, in this site.

Lastly (for now), Butch would like everyone reading this to know that he does not make it a habit to refer to himself in the third person – so this will be the only time such reference will be used, as he believes that since this is a post about himself, some decorum (out of respect for the readers) is necessitated. But succeeding posts will be more informal and conversational.
